The word posh means rich, aristocratic, wealthy, . In the King' s English it also means rich people , who show off their luxureus lifestyle and taste. At the end of the twentieth century the rich people travelled by steamer to India. They booked a dekhut port out, starboard home. That meant a cabine on the portside during the exit and on starboard during the journey back home. This way they always were assured of getting a hut out of the sun and so they wouldn't get a tan like the common men. Being able to travel posh was a sign of being of a certain class. My own grandmother was a bit like that. Her glass tea table is symbolic for that feeling. If you look closely at my horse you will see that it is partly transformed into a tea table with a teapot on top.
