The question “Could you make a sculpture for our new office” resulted in this sculpture. This particular company is active in the agricultural sector and supports producers to increase the efficiency by means of data management and data analysis. More and better with less! That's my interpretation. The industrial look of the office and the importance of the cyclic process in agricultural production, led me to Saehrimnir. This magical boar from the Nordic mythology is killed and eaten each night by the gods in Valhalla. After Saehrimnir is being eaten, the beast is brought back alive from the remains to provide sustenance for the following day. Each night this boar gets slaughtered and eaten again, it can't get more efficient. The boar is a beautiful metaphor for what this company and the agricultural sector stand for.
